Dr.-Ing. habil. Peter Mueller – General Manager

For many years (2006 until 2017), Dr. Mueller had been employed as PhD student and later as scientific co-worker as well as postdoctoral research fellow at the Chair of Mechanical Process Engineering of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. During this period, he had been able to successfully receive a doctor’s degree and to qualify as a professor under the scientific guidance of Prof. Tomas who passed away in 2015. Besides intensive research, Dr. Mueller published as lead author as well as co-author various scientific high impact papers in international professional journals (current list of publications), held presentations and presented posters at international conferences, prepared projects in collaboration with/by order of industrial partners, held courses and lectures, supervised more than 60 bachelor, master and PhD students, established close contacts and collaborations with renowned international universities, research institutes as well as excellent scientists and their research groups. Thereby, Dr. Mueller had been able to become one of the leading experts in the scientific field of mechanical process engineering and especially, particle technology, contact mechanics, storage and flow of particulate solids and discrete element method.

After successful completion of the qualification as a professor beginning of 2017, Dr. Mueller decided to concentrate his focus on his career in the private sector and to lead as well as to further develop the BC Chemicals GmbH into an ongoing prosperous future. As general manager and competent, reliable business partner as well as colleague, Dr. Mueller personally involves himself entirely including his acquired expertise and contacts into BC Chemical’s business activities. Nevertheless, he is still in continuously close contact with the OvGU.

He welcomes every contacting and would be happy about business as well as scientific discussions and queries.
